Progress Report for Texas Long Range Plan 2010

Anyone wishing to know about Texas public school and what they are doing to comply with regulations and mandates as it relates to technology instruction should read the detailed report for the Texas Long Range Plan for technology. It gives a detailed report analysis for each of the key areas of classifications  and a detailed description of the four Key areas: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support and Infrastructure for Technology.
There is a great deal of information devoted to the TIP, the Texas Immersion Pilot Program. This was an idea of immersing the campus or the learner in the introduction and use of technology. Technology immersion allowed the learner to have access to teaching in the classroom and beyond the classroom and gave the teacher ability to extend learning.
There is  a break down of information regarding different grants that allowed schools the necessary funding to pursue different innovations to fulfill the dreams of technology education in their schools. The future remains to be seen how the government is going to put demands on schools without the proper funding to fulfill the requirements.
There are a number of programs and plans listed under each of the four key areas. These programs and plans are discussed in detail for them. For Teaching and learning there are 15 subjects discussed. Under Educator Preparation and Development, there are nine topics discussed. Under Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support, there are seven topics discussed and under Infrastructure for Technology there are six topics. Finally, there are detailed reports from each of the educational service centers regarding their discussion of their reports for technology innovation.
